This coffee comes to us from Costa Rica. The producers, two sisters, Arleen and Maria Jimenez joined forces with their father on their family farm, Beneficio La Angostura, 7 years ago. Located in Tarrazu, the sisters joined Bean Voyage, a feminist, non-profit organisation working with women coffee producers with the objective of eradicating the gender gap in farming communities.
This coffee is a particularly special honey processed lot, with a cup score of 86. When cupping at the lab with Falcon Specialty, we were won over by the full, caramel-like mouthfeel of the coffee. Expect plenty of tropical tasting notes, particularly guava, with some light acidity.
